Apple iPhone 4 uses a Micro SIM which is 15 mm × 12 mm in size while the standard Mini SIM is 25 mm × 15 mm in size. To insert or remove a SIM from iPhone 4, simply follow the steps below:

1. Take a simple paper clip and make it straight, so that could be inserted into the SIM Tray.

2. Check the right side of your iPhone 4 to locate the SIM tray as shown above.

3. Insert the pin into the small hole and push it slightly so the Tray ejects. Pull out the Tray manually.

4. Place your Micro SIM card into the SIM tray. Make sure it fits side Face it downwards.

5. Push the tray back into the slot. Check whether the tray was properly inserted.

Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 has been on the market since November 8 in North America. Today, Microsoft announced that Windows Phone 7 devices sold more than 1.5 million units within six weeks. Microsoft vice president of business and marketing for Windows Phones Achim Berg noted that the company's goal for success in the mobile market is not predicated on short-term sales milestones. "Our numbers are similar to the performance of other first-generation mobile platforms," he said. "We introduced a new platform with Windows Phone 7, and when you do that, it takes time to educate partners and consumers on what you're delivering and drive awareness and interest in your new offering. We're comfortable with where we are, and we are here for the long run; Windows Phone 7 is just the beginning."

Windows Phone 7 is currently available on four smartphones in the US: the HTC Surround, Samsung Focus, HTC HD7, and Dell Venue Pro. Microsoft is also promoting Windows Phone 7 with its Xbox Live Service. From now until December 31, the company is offering a choice of free Xbox 360 games with all new Windows Phone 7 purchases. AT&T Rated Worst Network Carrier; Sprint better than Verizon Details Comparison

The Recent smartphones era raised a bar in Network Capabilities and Service. High end devices and phones with better connectivity options need a better network Carrier. Most of you people are not satisfied by the service or speed offered by their Carriers. Consumer Reports conducted a survey from 58,000 of its readers and found that AT&T was the only carrier to have a drop in its ratings in overall satisfaction. Over half of the respondents on AT&T had an iPhone, and they were much less satisfied with data service than their smartphone counterparts on other carriers that also consume similar sorts of data. CDMA carriers Verizon and Sprint bested the GSM side at T-Mobile and AT&T. Surprisingly, U.S. Cellular, which doesn't the entire nation yet, ranked at the top with a score of 82 overall. Verizon and Sprint were neck and neck at 74 and 73 respectively, with T-Mobile at 69 and AT&T at 60.

The fact is wireless customers have choices and a record number of them chose AT&T in the third quarter, significantly more than our competitors. And, our dropped call rate is within 1/10 of a percent—the equivalent of just one call in a thousand—of the industry leader.

Sprint has pulled even in overall satisfaction with Verizon, which has been the clear top provider in recent years since 2003. Foxconn has been notified that it will be working on shipments of 400,000 to 600,000 iPad 2 units within the next 100 days. The report originally figured that Apple would be gearing up stock of its next tablet in January, but the company is now holding it back until late February due to further software testing. Dell Streak Unlocked with Froyo Android 2.2 Price Features

The Dell Streak which was originally shipped with Android 1.6, however the tablet/smartphone hybrid received the v2.1 update back in September. Monday Dell announced that the device would also receive Froyo over the air. Now New Dell Streaks are being offered Unlocked with Updated Froyo installed. Currently Dell US offers Streaks Froyo pre installed. Best Buy devices currently in stores will be eligible for the Froyo update in December 2010. Additionally, within the next few weeks, an unlocked version of the Streak with Froyo pre-installed will be available on www.dell.com in the U.S. I’ll post back here once I have some solid dates. Streaks purchased in Japan, Korea or Singapore will have Froyo preinstalled. The update will only be deployed to Streak units which have Dell-provided versions of Android.

Dell Streak Android Froyo Update Download Process The final link to download the 2.2 Froyo update will be non-functional unless the browsing session is initiated via the software update mechanism on the Streak device. This is because the software update application in the device communicates with the OTA update server to authenticate the update session. The link to the update is dynamically set to download the correct software package based on the device that is connecting to the update server. Please wait for the software update notice to display on the device itself, when your version of the software is ready for the upgrade. You can continue to check for updates manually by going to Menu->Settings->About device->System Updates which will connect to the update server and correctly check for an update. This OTA update is rolling out in phases to different groups of customers.

The performance and capabilities of LTE will be unmatched in the marketplace, allowing customers to do things never before possible in a wireless environment. Consider some of the advantages that Verizon Wireless’ implementation of LTE will provide:

HIGHER DATA RATES: With Verizon Wireless’ 10 + 10 MHz implementation, LTE will be supporting average data rates per user of 5-12 Mbps in the forward link, and 2-5 Mbps in the reverse link. The maximum and average LTE data rates are significantly greater in magnitude in the reverse and forward link correspondingly, than those supported by existing 3G technology. LTE will truly enable video application on the downlink as well as uplink – including but not limited to video-sharing, surveillance, conferencing and streaming in higher definition than is possible with existing 3G technology today.

COVERAGE: Verizon Wireless’ deployment of LTE in the beachfront 700 MHz spectrum provides coverage and in-building penetration advantages over existing 3G technologies (and other 4G competitive implementations) deployed at higher frequency bands. This enhanced in-building coverage/penetration will make indoor applications even more powerful.

BETTER MULTIPATH, MOBILITY AND POWER PERFORMANCE: The advanced radio characteristics of LTE address several issues that have traditionally crippled cellular wireless, including multipath and multiuser interference. LTE’s use of OFDMA and MIMO in the downlink transmission effectively eliminates intra-cell multiuser interference and minimizes inter-cell multiuser interference thereby maximizing performance. LATENCY: The user plane latency achieved in LTE is approximately 1/2 (one-half) corresponding latency in existing 3G technologies. This provides a direct service advantage for highly immersive and interactive application environments, such as multiplayer gaming and rich multimedia communications.

SIMULTANEOUS USER SUPPORT: LTE provides the ability to perform two-dimensional resource scheduling (in time and frequency), allowing support of multiple users in a time slot; in contrast, existing 3G technology performs one-dimensional scheduling, which limits service to one user for each timeslot. This capability of LTE results in a much better always-on experience, and also enables the proliferation of embedded wireless applications/systems.

SECURITY: LTE provides enhanced security through the implementation of UICC Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) and the associated robust and non-invasive key storage and symmetric key authentication using 128-bit private keys. LTE additionally incorporates strong mutual authentication, user identity confidentiality, integrity protection of all signaling messages between UE and Mobility Management Entity (MME) and optional multi-level bearer data encryption.

SIMPLIFIED WORLDWIDE ROAMING: Verizon Wireless’ chosen migration path to LTE, the widely adopted next-generation 3GPP standard, will provide greater opportunities for seamless international roaming and for global device economies of scale as well.

MASS DEPLOYMENT: LTE’s inherent support for IPV6 addressing and IMSI-based identifiers makes mass deployments of machine-to-machine applications over LTE possible.

As the latest Microsoft Windows Phone 7 has launched and we all know that USB Mass Storage is not available. We Simply need to alter the Windows registry on the PC to re-activate USB drive mode support. The instructions seem very simple, back up before editing. Open the Registry Editor (type run “regedit” in run), go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM and then expand the CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB folder (ignore ControlSet01 or 02). Find ZuneDriver.

In a Recent press conference Sharp announced the lineup of their smartphones. The company is aiming to stimulate international demand for its phones through the move, which will follow the sale of new 3D-display phones in Japan in December. Sharp is also considering expanding to the United States and China an e-reader online software distribution service that is set to start in Japan in conjunction with the sale of its e-reader "Galapagos." The company is betting that software distribution services and advanced smartphones will allow it to distinguish itself from its competitors and increase its share in the international smartphone market. Sharp is aiming to soon acquire 30 percent or more of the smartphone market share and sell 5 million smartphones a year. Sharp's online software distribution service is planned to be upgraded to support other Sharp-made smartphones in spring of 2011, and the company is considering distribution to its "Aquos" liquid-crystal televisions in the future as well. AT&T HSPA+ Network Upgrade 80% Complete USB Modem Shockwave

Eighty percent of AT&T's mobile network has been upgraded to HSPA+, which will offer two or two-and-a-half times the performance of HSPA 7.2, AT&T's current top-end cellular technology, Donovan said Tuesday. The carrier recently introduced USB modems that can use HSPA+ as well as LTE. It is also upgrading the backhaul from its cell sites to Ethernet on fiber links. Part of what is driving data growth is the growing popularity of "integrated devices," which AT&T defines as handsets with QWERTY keyboards and voice capability, typically smartphones. Today, 57 percent of AT&T's postpaid subscribers have integrated devices, up from 23.3 percent in 2008. AT&T is working on making it easier for small software houses to deal with a large carrier, avoiding delays that come from being referred back and forth among different groups, Donovan said. The aim is to help get applications onto AT&T's network in one-third the time, or quickly turn down those it's not interested in, he said. "We're trying to de-clutter our organization," he said. AT&T has invested "tens of millions of dollars" in the effort, he said. The AT&T Shockwave, an HSPA+ USB modem, is capable of running on the network, but AT&T doesn’t offer any HSPA+ capable handsets yet. AT&T has come under much criticism over the past few years for not keeping up with the demand for data capacity from the popular iPhone and other mobile devices. The carrier continues to upgrade its network to meet that demand, deploying HSPA+ this year and planning a LTE (Long-Term Evolution) rollout next year.

The carrier has established innovation centers in Palo Alto, California, Plano, Texas, and near Tel Aviv, Israel to work more closely with software creators, he said. The carrier wants to talk to 400 developers per year; it has met with 150 so far this year and expects to talk with 100 more this quarter. Also, T-Mobile plans to cover 100 markets and 200 million POPs with HSPA+ by year-end. AT&T, for its part, expects to cover 250 million POPs with HSPA+ by year-end. Further, AT&T plans to launch LTE service by the middle of next year and cover 70-75 million POPs with LTE by the end of 2011.

The Nokia C7 has a voice dialing hardware button between its volume controls. This does a pretty good job of calling who you want to call, when you want to call them, however, we found it wasn't as accurate as Google's voice recognition on Android when we directly compared the two. Nevertheless, if you, for example, drive a lot with your phone to hand and want a physical voice dialing button, the Nokia C7 is one of the few phones at the moment that delivers. The Nokia C7 captures video at 3 resolutions, HD, VGA and very low res for multimedia messaging, with its HD 720p capture at 25fps leaving us impressed on the whole. As this phone isn't being heavily marketed as an HD camera phone, it was a pleasant surprise that the results weren't far behind the N8. With the Nokia C7 producing a generally duller video than the Nokia N8, and worse night time capture. The Nokia C7 played back everything we threw at it up to a resolution of 720p (DivX, H.264, MP4 and Xvid), and managed to play it as smoothly. if you're looking for a very capable phone-based video experience and don't feel the 3.5-inch display is too small. The zombie virus is hidden in a fake anti-virus app. Once installed, the virus sends all of the names and phone numbers on a user’s SIM card to the hackers, who automatically take control the phone and send spam texts to friends and family. The texts are usually full of links that will infect others with the virus or are sent to pay to text phone numbers, enchasing hackers. The virus infected one million users by the end of the first week of September and has continued to grow since then. China’s National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team Center is working to solve the problem. They was no fix yet but hope it will be out soon there.
