Micromax made its entry into Android with a pretty basic mobile A70 powered by 600 Mhz processor, 3.2 inch screen, 5.0 Mp Camera, wifi, Front facing video call camera, 160MB internal memory with 1450 mAh battery. A70 runs on Android 2.2 froyo with stock UI. Micromax A70 Black android mobile has a battery life of 200hrs standby and 280 mins talktime. As Micromax has entry level android with Android 2.2 froyo don't expect gingerbread update.  By far for a entry level android smartphone Micromax does a pretty good job. But recent price drop of LG optimus one is the mail rival for A70.
Not to complain but if had 16M screen instead of 262k screen would be a killer.

Update: Gingerbread 2.3 update for Micromax A70 is not impossible, owners who are very anxious to run Gingerbread on their phone have a  solution.Using CyanogenMod on rooted Android A70  made this update possible.

How To: Backup Android Devices Restore Apps User Settings Update Download

android

Android Smartphones are troubling users to backup their contact list, text messages, photos, apps, ringtones, and settings here are few steps and apps to solve backup issues.

Android devices running Froyo or later versions, there is a "Back up my data" option that allows to store some of your information on Google cloud servers. You can simply navigate it by pressing-- Menu and going to Settings > Privacy. Enabling the option will automatically back up your installed applications, your Wi-Fi settings, and even user settings. You can also enable the "Automatic restore" option to back up saved application data, such as game saves or custom app settings. After you setup a Google account on your new phone, it will apply all of your saved settings and install your backed up applications previously.

Also there are issues with this inbuilt backup only "Google Experience" branding enabled devices can have storage over the cloud. Even worse the Apps and Games are not completely backed up unless the developer has enabled the option in most cases ‘NO’.

MyBackup Pro

My Backup pro android

The Android Marketplace is full of backup solutions, and MyBackup Pro is one of the best. It will allow you to back up almost everything, such as your applications , contacts, bookmarks, SMS/MMS messages, alarms, user dictionary, and even homescreen widgets and shortcuts. Just start it up and select "Backup." It will then prompt you to back up either your applications, or data, followed by the option of where the backup should be stored – either locally on your SD card, or on MyBackup's secure servers. When backing up your data locally, MyBackup will create a folder on your SD card called "rerware." This folder will store all of your backed up information and will need to be transferred to your new phone in order to be restored. MyBackup Pro also lets you create automatic backup schedules, which, in tandem with the online storage features, makes for a great safety net should your phone ever get lost or stolen. Restoring the data is just as simple. After installing MyBackup onto your new device, select "Restore" and choose the appropriate data file. It will automatically restore all of your old files and apps. MyBackup Pro is priced at 4.99$.

Titanium Backup

titanium

By rooting your Android phone, you remove the restricted file system limitation, and root-aware applications will be able to back up all of your application data. MyBackup Pro is capable of this; however, many people prefer the backup tool created specifically for rooted devices: Titanium Backup (free or $6.14 for Pro version). It includes tools useful for rooted devices, such as file encryption, ROM management tools, application version freezing, and even an experimental bloatware exterminator for removing unwanted pre-installed software. Titanium Backup allows scheduled automated backups to online storage. You'll also want to keep in mind that any data that requires you to be rooted in order to back up will also require you to be rooted in order to restore it as well. This can be problematic when upgrading to a new device, as sometimes it can take a while before rooting methods are discovered. It's often wise to keep a root-free version of your backup files just in case.

Settings can be found in File/Settings, here in the connection section we need to select the phone type as ‘Phone with Google Android-OS’, in connect via… select ‘Autodetect’ option and finally click OK.
On Android phone client, Keep the application running.
After establishing connection if the application on the computer asks for synchronization then simply select YES.
When the synchronization is complete, you can see all your messages, contacts, call logs and other important stuff like file manager to manage SD card files and phone memory files.
