Steps to Fix Nokia N500 Maps Problem
- Go to the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation Software Update webpage (see Resources).
- Download. Save this file on your computer's desktop.
- Launch installer file and follow the instructions to complete the installation of the update wizard.
- Connect your Nokia navigation device to the computer with the USB data cable.
- Go to "Start" > "Programs" > "Nokia" > "Nokia 500 Auto Navigation Software Update Wizard." This will launch the onscreen instructions, which will complete the software update. Once the software updates, you will be able to access all the maps that are on the device.


Nokia 500 is priced at 9000/- INR (190$USD)  in Indian market. At the same price point competition is a bit tougher with Android Smartphones out there.  Interested in other alternatives LG Optimus One P500 or Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670 or Micromax A70 and Motorola Fire XT are viable choices.
