Microsoft will release two phones that sell Verizon Wireless, the largest U.S. mobile operator. The phones are aimed at heavy users of social networking sites, but the names of the devices have not yet been announced. The devices are being developed by Microsoft under the codename Project Pink and competes primarily in the wireless industry with sales of Windows Mobile software to multiple handset manufacturers. The software giant also sells the Sidekick phone, which makes Sharp. Sidekick joined with the acquisition of Danger. Microsoft has long denied rumors that are developing new addition to the Sidekick phones, but the comments about Project Pink followed.

Both port in CDMA and GSM models, and that the Pure has a 480 x 320 display while the Turtle has a 320 x 240 screen, it’s all a bit of a mystery.  Social networking seems to be heavily integrated  along with Zune HD style media functionality. The devices are being developed by Microsoft under the codename Project Pink, "the source said. Representatives from Microsoft and Verizon Wireless would not comment. The devices will also get an international launch  in their GSM formats  with carrier Vodafone.
